Imagine

I think this company produced the best arcade games for the BBC, certainly they all had style. The motto was 'Imagine....the name of the game!' They were only around for about 2 years, when they went bankrupt and caused all manor of trouble in the industry, with their non payments to various magazines for adverts and personnel. The company had a two way split as to what they were going to produce - they were trying to do so called Megagames for machines like the Sinclair QL but they floundered after they had huge overheads from over staffing. They were a classic example of a well oiled publicity machine, they seemed extremely confident to the average gamer, but behind the scenes was chaos!

One thing to note is that two of the chairman came straight from Bug-Byte after a dispute with head managment! Eventually the brand was sold off to Ocean who continued to produce games under the label from 1985 onwards.

Please contact me if you have any additional information about the company or its games!

One of the original beat-em-ups, this was a big hit on loads of platforms. Basically it is a one on one punch up, for one player only, and there is a great variety of characters to play against. You must use your Martial Arts skills to work your way through the game, its brilliant, a must play.

More of the same, but this time it is more like 'double dragon' where you beat up loads of people, and the screen scrolls along. Not as good as the original.
